What Are Passkeys?

Passkeys are a modern security standard that replace traditional passwords with cryptographic key pairs stored on your device. They are resistant to phishing and data breaches, making them significantly safer for your daily login needs.

Setting Up Your Keys

To start using them, visit the 'Passwords' section in your iPhone settings. When you sign into a supported website or app, you will see an option to 'Create a Passkey' instead of typing a password. Once saved, your iPhone uses FaceID or TouchID to authenticate the login automatically. This removes the need to remember complex character strings while drastically increasing your account security.
