Improving TV Audio Without External Speakers
If you don't want a soundbar, you can still improve your TV's audio clarity with these settings.

Adjust Your Audio Profiles
Most modern TVs have 'Equalizer' or 'Sound Mode' settings. Switch away from 'Standard' and try 'Clear Voice' or 'Dialogue' modes to boost mid-range frequencies, which makes speech easier to hear. Avoid 'Cinema' or 'Music' modes if you are just watching news or talk shows, as they often widen the soundstage in a way that muddies dialogue.
Placement and Room Acoustics
If your TV is in an entertainment center, ensure it is flush with the front edge. If the speakers are firing backward into a wall, the sound will reflect and become muffled. Sometimes, simply pulling the TV slightly forward can significantly improve sound projection.
